Dr. Mindy K. Bixby, DO
Dr. Mindy K. Bixby, DO is a board-certified neurologist with advanced training in movement disorders, brain injury medicine, and headache disorders. She has been practicing neurology since 2012 and is known for her thoughtful, individualized approach to care—grounded in deep listening, clinical excellence, and partnership with her patients.
Dr. Bixby believes in educating and empowering patients and their families, encouraging active involvement in every stage of the healing process. Her care philosophy centers on understanding each patient’s unique goals, challenges, and lived experience, allowing her to tailor treatment plans with precision and compassion.
As a movement disorder specialist, Dr. Bixby treats patients with Parkinson’s disease, essential tremor, ataxia, dystonia, and rare and complex movement disorders. She also provides comprehensive care for a wide range of headache conditions, including migraine, cluster headache, tension-type headache, and atypical headache syndromes.
Dr. Bixby is actively involved in clinical research, with a particular focus on the gut–brain axis (GBA) and its role in neurological disease. Her work explores how interactions between the gastrointestinal system, microbiome, and central nervous system influence neurological symptoms and disease progression.
A dedicated advocate for the Parkinson’s community, Dr. Bixby is a frequent public speaker and educator, committed to helping patients live empowered, engaged, and meaningful lives.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Bixby enjoys running, sailing, mountain biking, practicing yoga and Pilates, cooking, traveling, and lifelong learning.

Talia D. Tomasin, PA-C
Talia D. Tomasin, PA-C is a nationally board-certified Physician Assistant with advanced training across a broad range of medical specialties and a focused commitment to neurologic care. She works closely alongside Dr. Mindy K. Bixby as a trusted clinical partner, supporting a shared philosophy of treating the whole person through education, empowerment, and individualized care.
Talia is known for her clinical insight, compassionate presence, and dedication to patient-centered collaboration. Her approach emphasizes understanding how neurological conditions impact daily function, quality of life, and long-term wellbeing, allowing her to partner meaningfully with patients and families throughout their care journey.
Her path to medicine was shaped by both personal and professional influences, including mentorship from her uncle, an orthopedic trauma surgeon, and her own lived experience managing chronic migraine. These experiences have fostered a deep appreciation for the patient perspective and inform her thoughtful, empathetic approach to complex neurological care.
Prior to graduate training, Talia worked in urgent care and behavioral health settings as a clinical medical assistant and psychiatric medical scribe. She has also served underserved populations through community health outreach and international medical volunteer work in Kenya.
